Community Medicine Department oversees the Immunization, DOT, STI, ARV Clinics and the Environmental Unit of the Hospital.

The new Head of Department, Community Medicine, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Dr Mrs Inumanye Ojule has assured of her commitment to ensuring the department under her leadership makes positive advances in training and health care delivery.

Dr. (Mrs) Ojule made the declaration at a formal handover ceremony organized by the department, following the tenure completion of Dr. Mrs Folunke Adeniji as Head of the Department.

Speaking during the handover, Dr Ojule stated that “the department will advance into new frontiers”. She appealed to the staff of the department to give their support and commitment to see the department make good progress and move forward.

The immediate past Head of the Department, Dr Mrs Folunke Adeniji, while giving her vote of thanks, appreciated the Hospital management, the department, and all those who supported her during her period of service, while wishing her successor a successful period of service.
