UPTH Commences COVID-19 Vaccination

The University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital has commenced vaccination campaign for frontline workers in the state. This is in line with the Federal Government directive to carry out vaccination exercise for health workers, security personnel and filling station attendants who all constitute frontline workers. UPTH vaccination flagged off on Wednesday 17th March 2021 as the Chief Medical Director Prof. Henry A. A. Ugboma was the first to be vaccinated. Other principal officers vaccinated are: Dr. Richard Oko-Jaja (DCMAC Due Process), Dr. Bashiru Braimoh (DCMAC SP/L/R), Dr. Omosivie Maduka (HOD Community Medicine), and other senior personnel.
