Salvation Ministries one of the leading churches with a growing fellowership in Rivers State took a giant stride to make donations to the Hospital (UPTH). The donation which were protective clinical materials (gloves, face masks, sanitizers etc) were made in support of possible response to any outbreak of corona virus in the state.
A delegation from the church delivering the materials to Management said, it was part of the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility to the society, and a presentation from the Presiding Pastor David Ibiyeomie.
The Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Professor P.C. Stanley who received the items on behalf of the Hospital Management appreciated the church for their timely support. He described the gesture from Pastor Ibiyomie as Christ-like. He asked for more support from good spirited individuals and religious organizations as Salvation Ministries to do same, as the Hospital will need more of such support at a time like this.
Observing due diligence the items were handed to the Head of Procurement for proper inventory and documentation before onward distribution to areas of need.
