The O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation is collaborating with the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital to carry out fifty (50) surgeries for women living with Fibroid, as part of her 18th Year Anniversary Celebration, which aims at reaching out to support a Hundred women with free fibroid surgeries.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Henry A.A. Ugboma in his remark, assured of the hospital’s commitment to the Foundation by supporting the fifty beneficiaries sent to the institution.
Dr. Emmanuel Ocheli, representing the CMD, further commended the renowned humanitarian organisation to keep up the good work in reaching out to the needy.
The O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation has a track record of providing education and scholarships, providing micro-credit and entrepreneurship, and numerous free medical missions as well as other special initiatives.
Dr. Rosemary Nkemdilim Ogu, a Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecologist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital was the guest lecturer who spoke on Fibroid.
The event was graced by several royal fathers, medical practitioners, members of the Press and prospective beneficiaries. The Programme climaxed as forms where distributed, together with brief counseling sessions with doctors.
