The University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital has lauded information humanitarian organization the rotary international for its immense contribution in the area of humanitarian service.
Chief Medical Director Professor Henry Ugboma gave the commendation when he undertook a tree-planting exercise with representative of the Rotary Club Choba district 9141.
Professor Ugboma expressed Management’s appreciation for the choice of the Teaching Hospital for the tree-planting campaign.
He also expressed optimism that the hospital community will embrace the culture of tree-planting as a way of enhancing the environment.
Leader of the Rotary team Mr. Chukwuemeka Abali commended the Management of the Teaching Hospital for the opportunity to contribute in making for a healthier environment.
Highpoint of the brief ceremony was the planting of a tree by the Chief Medical Director Professor Henry Ugboma.
